Why Boo Is Like He Is - Faraes Wubshet

As this book is coming to an end I would like to learn why Heck Tate Saves Boo.Image result for buu
No not that Boo, but the Boo we’ve been reading about for the past thirty chapters. Boo, or should I say Arthur when he was younger people learned he was in trouble with the law. People would spread rumors like this would spread about how Boo cut off his father Nathan’s ear off. I always wondered if this was the truth why people believe Boo is a monster, Nathan would of shipped hi away from the house scared of what he could do. Or if it’s not true Nathan would attempt to protect his son from these rumors by validating it’s false. Than in class we were brought to the idea Boo might be like Lennie. Mentally ill. This would make sense, to why Nathan would do nothing, because of people learned he was mentally ill, they would ridicule him more than they do know with these rumors. This is because people don’t know about mental disabilities as well as people do today, so if he showed his true self they would think his just dumb.
I believe Heck knows this, and understands the problem with Boo, so he tries to save Boo from any uncomfortableness his unused to. I really think he should inform Nathan about this in my opinion, because this might make Nathan and Boo more engaged with the people, and not alone in their own house. However in a time like that I couldn’t have made a better decision. From this I think Heck shows his on the tolerant side of Maycomb with Atticus and Deas, while people like Bob are on the other scale of the tolerant scale. Heck showed me in this chapter that he does the right thing to save Boo from a life he doesn’t want. Wrapping up this I would like to say goodbye TKAM.

  1. I like your theory Fareas. Mr. Tate was pretty tolerant throughout the book. He himself was not as good as a person as atticus but then again who is. The only person that comes to mind is Jesus. I would like to know how much people actually knew about disabilities during that period

  2. I though your blog was really good Faraes. I liked your picture and joke. I also liked how you brought back up the point that Boo could be like Lennie and how that would explain why Nathan keeps Boo inside. And finally, I liked how you gave one last goodbye to TKAM.
