The Old Oak Tree

In the last few chapters we find out a lot of new things. Bob Ewell has tried to steal from Judge Taylor, Bob has also cowardly followed Helen Robinson cursing her, and also took a lecture from Link. We all know that Bob is a coward. My new favorite character is now Link Deas. He is like a little, mini, Atticus, and it is nice to have a few tolerant people in Maycomb trying to keep everything together.
The next chapter talks about how Scout is in a play, and she is super excited for it, but when she is backstage, she falls asleep. I have had experience with this from my theatre. I did not fall asleep backstage, but, I was busy doing a favor for a friend right before my cue, and realized that I was supposed to be on stage. I did not have any of my costume on, and `I quickly grabbed it, and put it on as I was going on stage. I was a bit late, but thankfully it was only a dress rehearsal. I was really embarrassed, and I totally empathise with Scout.
When Scout was going to and back from her play, she had no idea where she was because it was pitch black. However, she knew she was close to the Radley place when she felt a large oak tree. Scout tripped on it going to the play, but on the way back, she could not find it. We know that it is pitch black, and Jem, and Scout are alone, and they don't really know where they are. Scout had already said that the biggest journey of their lives would be that night, but we don't know what will happen. We find out tomorrow, but I think that Mr. Boyle will leave us on a cliff hanger.

  1. I really like your post Ellie! I especially though you had a cool post because you started with a summary and then gave a moment that you could relate with scout being late on her cue, then finished off with the cliffhanger that we were left on yesterday. I really liked you moment that you related because I also did one, and I think it is cool how you are able to share your moment on the blog. Finally, I liked how you told that Jem and Scout couldn't find the tree and so they were a little lost and how it was definately a cliffhanger.

  2. I like your post. I also liked how you related the book with something had happen to you. ItÅ› really cool for someone that had experience this, because know you know how Scout felt when she came late for her cue in the play. I also liked at the end how you related the book that we might read something interesting.
