Mock Trial
Today we went to St. Thomas Law School. It was something new and cool to experienced. I felt if we were in the classroom in school. For me it was difficult to speak loud, because my voice us soft and people were telling me to speak laughter. I also notice, for some people its really hard to make themselves cry without making it funny, but it's not suppose to be funny. There were some parts that people changed there voices and almost made themselves city. It was also interesting to hear the defense opening statement and closing statement. If this was real trial I can not imagine a juries. Going to the St. Thomas school of Law was really cool to go, because you can experience what's going to be there. Everything looks really professional and dress professional. I can't even imagine how long it takes them to do there final test. This is something cool to do, because we are reading about Atticus case. He also is trying to get Tom Robinson not to be guilty. Atticus is professional. I didn't know how he does not get nervous. When I was on front talking to everyone I was nervous. I always get nervous and 8R is a small class and I know everyone. There is a lot of things that is really different. Since Atticus had already experience he does not need to worry, or he also gets nervous. If we didn't have the scrips and was a real trial this will probably be harder. In my opinion the judge had a easy job, maybe jurors, but at the end they are the one who need to pick if the person is guilty or not. I think now some students now want to learn more about the law. I can't imagine how much law students suffer a lot. They need to study a lot, but the end they do there best. We did all good and I really enjoyed this. This was something fun to do. I would actually do this again if I Had too or if I just wanted to.

A great blog post about the mock trial. I think that you did your best at the mock trial and that was really impressive. You usually speak in small tone and 8R knows that so you don't have to feel bad about that. You were the first one who gave the opening statements so you probably felt nervous and that's okay. If I was you, I would feel the same thing. You are right that every role in the mock trial is important and it affects a lot to the final decision. Like you, I really want to do it again if we have a chance. Hope that we can do it again in one day.
ReplyDeleteYou did great in the mock trial. I have to say, that you spoke louder than you usually do, and you did pretty awesome on your job. Atticus doesn't get nervous because it's his job. He has had a lot of practice, and I think he knows how to handle things in court. Great blog post!
