Scout Heard All She Had to Hear

Scout is one of those second graders who you are afraid of. There is always one that has so much power, and they seem so aggresive, that even though you are a few years older, you avoid them. Scout always gets in fights, and she is not very "lady like". She is was at Christmas with her family, and she was on the porch with Francis. They started talking and, Francis jumped into the case about Atticus. He started saying that Atticus was ruining the family because he was defending a black man. Francis problem herd this from his ignorant Grandma. Scout was already agrivated because Francis is ANNOYING. Then Francis started saying N- word lover, and started saying bad names to Scout.
Scout was so angry at this point. First, she hates to hear her dad being made fun of, secondly, Francis was really agrivating, annoying, spoiled, and overall IGNORANT. Scout had to give them the old one two. She punched him right in the two front teeth, and then in the cheeks. Francis of course started making noise. Everyone came out and comforted him, and then they went to Scout and punished her even though it was Francis who riled her up.
That night Atticus and Jack were talking. Scout went down to get a drink of water, and she over heard some of the conversation. Jack was talking about how he could never get married because then he might have a child, and he does not know how to be nice to children. Then he talked about how Scout asked about what a whore-lady is. Of course Jack was uncomfortable, so he dived into a different story that had nothing to do with Scout's question. Then they started talking about Atticus' case.
Tom Robinson is accused of raping one of the Ewells. Ewells. The most ignorant family in Maycomb. Atticus is defending Tom because it is the right thing to do, and he probly never even did it. The judge and jury are all white, and they are going to be on he Ewells side. Atticus says that he isn't going to win the case, and it is going to make him unpopular, and his kids are going to be harrased at school, but this man is on the edge of being killed. It is the right thing to do, and he wants his kids to follow in his footsteps. If he can't reach the bar, then his kids will get the deadly disease from Maycomb. Ignorance. Atticus can't have that happen, so he is defending Tom Robinson.
Atticus knew Scout was listening this whole time, and mental for her to hear all she heard. Super Atticus. I wish that I could be like Atticus. Doing things because it is simply the right thing to do. Today everything is run by popularity, and I feel that everything is on social media or the internet. Today I am pulled to everything that others are doing, and lots of times it is the wrong thing. I want to be more like Atticus, and I will definlately work on it. Related image

  1. I really like your blog post. I think that you put a lot of effort in it. You summarize all the things that happen in chapter ten. It's a big chapter so there are a lot of things to talk about. I think you should write more about your feeling or your opinion about the reading. I don't see much in here. Otherwise, you post is good, and I think that you image is really awesome.

  2. I liked everything about your blog this week. I liked how in the summary, you used your word to describe how you and scout both feel towards Francis. I also want to be more like Atticus. I do believe that he is just an all around great guy, and a very important hero to all.
