Lulu...

In this chapter there was a new character. Gem starts to get really angry with Jem and he tells Scout that she should be more ladylike and that she should stop acting like a boy. She starts crying goes to Calpurnia. Calpurnia said that if Jem does that again then Scout has to tell Calpurnia. A couple days past and Calpurnia decides to take the kids to a” color” Church. Mostly everyone there is black. Everything is good until this girl named Lulu start criticizing Calpurnia. She said that it's wrong that you brought white children inside a black church. They ignore her and continue the church.

Most people in the church can't read. There are a couple parishioners that can read. The church is very poor. They can't afford hymnals. Capernia eldest son reads from there a couple times. During the service the church raising money to give to Helen. How long is Tom Robinson's wife she can't get a job. Usually Tom Robinson would take care of her but now that he is accused of rape he can't. So the church saved up money to give to her. This shows how much they charge cares about another person. They're doing anything they can to help them go through tough times. One time  my mom know this lady and she couldn't not have a job. Her husband usually paid for all the bills and that put a lot of stress on him. Then she got a job it wasn't not good of a job but at least it was something.

  1. Good summary here Saul. I thought it was interesting the way that you think that they raised money for Tom and Helen. I am going to be honest, it was sort of confusing. You titled your heading about Lula, and you had one sentence about her. I think that your post could become really great if you put in what you think about her, like how ignorant and rude she is. I would love to hear your opinion on this. The story at the end is really cool too, and I do hope that Helen will get a job to provide for her kids. Good job
