Ignorance EVERYWHERE

Already in the first chapter in the book and there is ignorance. I don't agree with ignorance. Assuming things about someone before you actually meet them is a pretty bad thing to do. Boo Radley looks like a ghost because of the rumors. I wouldn't lie, he sounds a little scary from the rumors, but I don't really believe them until they have solid evidence that it happened. Boo Radley' real name is Arthur. Jem and Scout call him "Boo" because he is scary. They have never seen his face, he doesn't know what he looks like at all. They have rumors about Boo Radley doing things that he probably hasn't done.
He has some history of being a weird person. There is a story about Boo Radley stabbing his dad in the leg with some scissors when he was walking by, took the scissors out and cleaned it off his shirt. He was cutting out things on a newspaper. I don't think I like Boo Radley because of the rumors. Obviously I know not to assume things about people if you haven't even met the person. Miss Stephanie woke up to him watching her through her window. I know that feeling when someone makes rumors, or gossips about you when you know the rumors aren't true. It isn't cool at all. Obviously everyone knows about Boo Radley because Maycomb is a small town. But these days, we have social media. So if something bad happens, for example someone on the football team breaks their leg in the NFL, its gonna be everywhere especially if the NFL player is well known.

  1. Your post is quite interesting. You describe Boo Radley in the book really well. I like how you share your opinion about you don't want to believe those stories, gossips and think that Boo is scary because it's ignorance. By the way, I like your picture.
