Jem, Scout, and Dill all decided to hang out late at night. Dill said he wanted to go down the block just for a walk. Scout was suspicious because nobody in Maycomb goes for walks. It turns out she had all the rights to be suspicious because Jem and Dill were actually planning on see Boo's face. They were going to look through the window. They checked through the front window and saw nothing. There were curtains blocking the way. They then decided to go through the back and look through another window. They saw a shadow of what seemed to be a man wearing a hat. Then, a shotgun was shot and the kids ran for their lives. They thought Boo was coming for them. They escaped and snuck into the crowd of worried neighbors. It turns out it was just Nathan Radley.
This part of the story reminds me a lot of the dumb things I would do when I was younger with my cousins. There would always be the leader, usually that would be me since I was the oldest. There would also be the one who was worried and kept telling the group it's dangerous. We did one thing we did wasn't super bad but we thought we were cool when we did it. We trespassed a small park that was closed. I went over the gate and played on the swings. It wasn't anything that was super bad but my youngest cousin was afraid we would get caught and yelled at. I didn't care. I was just having fun. The chapter really does remind me of these times. I thought this chapter was funny and was relatable
You have a good connection between your childhood and the story. Your childhood is very cool, I have did many things when I was young but I never did thing like you before. I think that Jem and Dill also have the same feeling until they see the shadow.
ReplyDeleteThis is really amazing, but you missed a lot of things in the book you could put. For example you could of put about how Jem did not have his pants. There was a lot of things that hapen, so there should be a lot of details. Overall this is really good and I really like your connection, because we all do dumb things when we were little.
