In Last nights reading there was a man whose shadow Jem, Scout and,Dill saw. He was very close to them and it looked like he was going to grab them. He eventually walks away and the children freak out and wake up mr radley. Jem leaves his pants and when he sneaks in to find them again he sees that they were sown up by what looks like a child's hand. Jem is stunned by this and this adds to the mystery. Next in the knothole by the radley place they find some yarn which they make theirs. I believe that this person is Boo Radley. With every chapter there is more and more mystery. The knothole and gifts, the mysterious figure, and the sewed up pants. Lets try to inspect the evidence. The shadow was a tall man with a hat. This gets rid of any women in the town as our suspect. This also gets rid of the idea that a child has been filling the knothole. This is assuming that all the evidence is connected. The pants are the next clue. Someone stitched them up and got them ready for jem as if he knew that jem would need them. Then there's the knothole this is completely odd. Both the pants and the knothole are acts of kindness, but why would someone start putting random stuff in the knothole. So far we have some gum, pennies in a ring box, and some twine. The only reason that I can figure out without further evidence is that these things represent something, and i'm terrible with secret messages. These acts of kindness just add to the mystery because they are so unpredictable. The only solution that I can come up with is that these objects will help us learn about Boo. The only answer is Boo because he has the opportunity he lives by the knothole, he is a man and could have easily seen the kids, and he could have fixed jem's pants. However, why did Boo do these things?

Micheal, I like how you summarized the reading very well. Also, you put in your own solutions to figuring more about Boo. I also like how you made the post seem like a huge crime mystery with questions in between some sentences. Overall, I really like your post because it has a nice theme. I also like your meme.
ReplyDeleteVery good blog post, Micheal! I like how you theorize that Boo Radley is the one who is sewing the Jem's pants. I also enjoyed how you had reasoning behind your theory.
ReplyDeleteThis blog post was very well done. I agree with you too on it being Boo. I think that Boo has been watching them, and it was him getting a laugh when Scout rammed into his house. I like how you gave us evidence on how it COULD be Boo. I think you backed up your theory very well, and that is always good. You have to try to convince people to look at your theory too. I really liked your meme. It wrapped up your post and left us on a laugh. I love that movie too.
ReplyDeleteGreat work here. Your blog posts are always so funny, and I really like this one. You are a really good writer, and I think you just have something in your writing skills that makes it so intriging. I actually think that you wrong about who is putting the things in the knothole. I think that it might be Boo, and it might be Mr. Avery, and it might be another man or women from the town. I thin that everyone is contributing, but mostly Boo. We will have to find out soon. Splendid job.

(good job at the debate today)
Great job on the blog. However I do not think that the person who is putting the stuff in the knot hole is Boo. If he would come out everyone would see him because he never comes out. So, even if he did see him then everyone would stare. Other then that great blog!
ReplyDeleteI agree with what you are saying at the end of your post. The only person who could be doing this stuff, putting stuff in the knotehole would only be Boo Radley. I don't know anyone else. It makes the finger point at Boo Radley even more because when Mr. Radley lies to Jem about the tree, it looks more suspicious. Mr Radley knows more than they do about the tree.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your post today Michael. I like how you had a detective genre to it. I also enjoyed instead of taking a guess to who the person is you had evidence to back up your idea
