I'm Yarning for an Answer to Who's Leaving Things in the Knothole

First, Scout finds sticks of gum in the knothole of a tree in the Radley Lot. Second, Scout and Jem find a jewelry. box that contains two pennies from the early 1900s. Now, Scout and Jem find a ball of yarn. WHO IS DOING THIS BECAUSE IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY! Let's gets some backstory on this first. When Scout was in first grade she found gum on the first day of school or sometime around it. On the last day of school, Scout and Jem are walking back, and they find something in the knothole again, which is a jewelry box with two pennies. Scout is now in second grade, and when she and Jem walk past the Radley Lot, they find a ball of yarn in the knothole. they wait three days to see if it is somebody's hiding place like they thought. However, nobody takes it, so from now on, everything in the knothole is their property. Now it's time for some conspiracies.
However, before we get into who is placing things in the knothole, I think I know why it was there. We find out from Jem that when he had to retrieve his pants after he, Scout, and Dill went into the Radley backyard, they were fixed up and folded at the fence for him. I think hat yarn which they found is actually what was used to fix Jem's pants which he left at the fence. Who is it though? Like I said in my last blog post, it is probably Boo Radley trying to communicate or get the attention of Scout and Jem. Jem said that when he retrieved his pants they were sewn terribly like it was somebody who has slim to no experience in sewing. I doubt that Boo actually knows how to sew with a lot of experience. Also, I doubt that Mr. Radley would sew pants that he had found in his backyard. He would probably show it to Atticus who would punish Jem. That is my conspiracy on the matter, but we'll find out sooner or later.
By the way, you liked my punny title didn't you?Image result for thinking meme

  1. This is a very good blog post, Martin! I like how you gave a summary of what happened. I like how the second paragraph is about your conspiracy theory on who is leaving the stuff in the knot hole.

  2. First off, amazing title it really drew me in. Second off your theory was good on who was leaving stuff in the knothole. I like how you talked that it was someone with little to no experience in sewing, and how Mr. Radley wouldn't sew the pants. Finally, I liked your picture, let's just say it's.....interesting.

  3. This was a really good summary and conspiracy theory! I would agree with you on that since I just realized how much sense that would make if it were true. Your title was also interesting and along with your opinion here of what you think about the knothole.

  4. Martin I liked the post. However, I have a problem with your yarn theory. Yarn is used for knitting not sewing. If someone sewed Jem's pants then they probably used string to sew. You need a big needle to be able to sew pants with yarn without forcing it.
