Don't bring negativity to the world!

Today in class we did not read a chapter, but we review a little about chapter 12. It was mostly about Calpurnia taking the children to church and how Aunt Alexandra come to stay to help Atticus make Scout a lady. I think they should stop judging people on there looks, because some people wasn't to be different, but they can't, because we humans are so ignorant and that is not O.K. When they go to church a day before the Calpurnia washed them really clean, so people would not think that she does not take care of her children. She wanted to make a good impression and people to judge her in a nice way. She makes Scout put on a dress and she had to wear a lot of fancy clothes and Jem had to wear a suit. When they got there everybody was surprise the Lula came along and starting being mean. Jem and Scout did not feel good about the rude comments Lula was saying so they wanted to leave and Jem said that they did not want them there.  Then Calpurnia son came his name Zeebo that they were Glad and grateful to have them there. Calpurnia also needs to make a good impression, because she is one of the few African American that knows how to read. That is really important. His son knows how to read and Revered Sykes he leads the church. Calpurnia learned how to read from Miss Maudie's aunt. Calpurnia then showed Zeebo and Revered Sykes how to read.  Revered Sykes then is talking about the Tom's wife how she is struggling really bad. She can't find a job, because no one wants to hire. It's really sad, because she needs to feed her children. They raised $10 for her. No one could've leave until there was $10 raised. When they left church Scout asked what was rape. Calpurnia didn't told her she said to ask his dad. This is showing that Scout is losing her childhood innocence. This is really sad, because she suppose to be happy and people are spreading negativity around her. She might even get Maycomb illness. Atticus tries really hard for her children not to be ignorant. Atticus is one of the nicest person ever you can learned a lot of things from him. I think everyone needs someone to look after. I usually think about my grandma, because she is really nice to everyone she greets everyone and they greet her back. Another person that we can look up to is saints they can help us. My favorite saint is St. Cecilia she inspires me. People should not be ignorant and not spread negativity in the world they should have peace.                                                                                                                                   Image result for when people are bringing negativity to my life meme

  1. Great post here Mariam. I really liked how you weaved in your opinion with the story. You and I have the same mind we both want positive rather than negative. I like how at the end, you talk about how you are passionate about St. Cecilia. I think you did a great job here. It was really great.

  2. Amazing post. I like your meme. It was interesting to see them go to church with Calpurnia. I thought it was going to be a great experience, but then there is people like Lula who ruined it.
