Chapter 9

In chapter 9 there was a lot of things that happen. When Scout went to school there was a boy called Cecil Jacobs. Scout was about to fight Cecil Jacobs, but she remember of what Atticus said that he does not want to hear another fight from the school. He was saying that Scoutś Finches daddy was defending a African American. But Cecil Jacobs was using the N word which we do not use. Scout did not know what it meant, so she asked Jem what it meant. Jem told her to ask Atticus. When Atticus got home she asked Atticus what it meant. The first thing he says is don't say the n word never again. She says that everyone says it in school. Then she says that she wants to grow up not saying those words, then she should not go to school. In my opinion Scout is a really smart girl, because she uses techniques, for her not to go to school. Scout is still confused, why is Atticus defending African Americans. Atticus is saying, because its the right thing to do and people might start talking bad things about him, but he is going to try so hard to get the man Justice. He wants Tom Robinson to get justice. He was accused of rapping a white women, but that is not true he is innocent. In my opinion Atticus is one of the most kind-hearted person. He does not care about other peoples opinion of him defending a African American. People are just ignorant.                                                                                                                                                                                                 Christmas was coming and every Christmas eve there Uncle Jack comes to Maycomb to spend the Christmas with them. They also go with there Aunt Alexandra, witch Scout does not like her, because she wants her to be a lady, but she does not act like one. They need to also spend with there "boring" cousin Frances. That's Aunt Alexandra grandson. They also have a uncle named Jimmy he is Aunt Alexandra wife. They never talked to him just once when he said to get off there fence. They go to the Finch's Land every Christmas where they are with Aunt Alexandra. She has one sun that his name is Henry. Uncle Jack is the youngest of all of them. They go to the train station to wait for him and whenever he gets  in maycomb. Whenever something bad happen to Jem or scout Uncle Jack will be the doctor. He wouldn't be scary like the other doctors. He will do little things to help them. For example he will help them to get them out a sprinter in there feet. When Uncle Jack came he had two packages. Scout asked what was in the packages. He said it was none of her business. Then Jem asked how was Rose Aylmer. That was hes cat. He had two pictures and showed them to Jem and Scout. She was getting fat. Uncle Jem then says she eats leftovers fingers and ears from the hospital. He was just jocking, but then Scout started to cuss in front of his uncle. Atticus said to ignore her. When they got home they were eating dinner and scout started to cuss again. When they finished dinner. Uncle Jack said she wanted to talk with her. He said that is not correct to say bad words, because a young lady should not say that. Uncle Jack then gave Jem and Scout a riffle. He said that they need to teach them how to shoot.                                                                                                                                                                                                                             They went to Aunt Alexandra house. When everybody was there talking and Jem was talking to grown ups now, so Scout had to entertained his cousin Francis. He was bragging about what he got for Christmas. I could also imagine that Scout gets pretty annoyed by him. Aunt Alexandra keeps telling Atticus that Scout needs to acts like a girl and not a boy. Scout sometimes feel bad, but she does not listen to her. She is really good at cooking. After dinner Scout was going to go outside and then Francis says that Atticus is a African American lover. He keeps saying it until he beats him u, because he does not want no one to disrespect his father. He also keeps saying bad things about Dill. When Uncle Jack comes out to see what was happening. He says who started the fight they pointed to each other. Then Uncle Jack then hits Scout. Francis was also saying that he was ruining the family. When they got home Scout went to her bedroom and stayed there, because she was mad and sad. Then Uncle Jack went inside and apologize and heard Scouts story side. At the end of the story Uncle Jack learned a life a lesson.
