What we learn in this chapter is We learned a new character in this book. His name is Boo Radley. No one has ever seen his face. however, people have theories on what he looks like. There's a ton of rumors on what he looks like. There is a lot of gossip on what his past was like. Supposedly he stopped his father with scissors and also stocked people while they are asleep. Jim thinks he is 6´ 2 feet tall. he has rotting teeth. he has bloody hands. the reason has bloody hands is because his meals are only Cats. Hover I don't think that this is true. I know he might seem a very mysterious guy but maybe he must be an introvert. he does not really like to be around other people. or maybe he does not want to go out because of all the gossip and what people think of him. And that's why he does not want to go out because everyone is gossiping about her. Boo Radley kind of reminds me of my Dad's friend that he used to know. my dad's friend did not really want to go out as much. he did not really want to go out and do work she just went to work went home and just stays there for the whole day.
Scout is starting her first day of school. Jem tells her that during recess or lunch or anything where in the school campus he does not want her to talk to him. I don't think he does not want to talk to him is because she might embarrass him in front of his friends. she might say something that might be pretty embarrassing and all of his friends will laugh. also in Scouts classroom almost all the children are repeating the grade. this is probably their second or three to four times that they are repeating. This shows that the people in Alabama make them don't really have time for school. there school is like a break. when they come home all they do is work. they work, they go to school, they come back, they work, and go to sleep. that's why the kids are repeating because they don't have time for homework or a learning and all that. this relates to my life because when my mom was little she couldn't really go to school. they did so she cannot go to school. she only went to only like second grade. she only learn how to read and write and that's it.. she did not have money for the school so they did not send it to her.

I agree with you. I think that Boo is just a normal guy. He is just introvert and people don't get that, so they make up reasons to almost answer their own questions. I don't like how the people of Maycomb do this to this poor guy. I liked your little meme too. It captures the people of Maycomb when it comes to gossip.

I like how you also put some personal things about your mom and how you can relate this with the chapter book. I also agree with you. The only thing in Maycomb people can do well is gossip.
