Things Jem, Dill, and Scout Do Right or Wrong?

From the beginning of the book to chapter 5, Dill, Jem, and Scout did many things making fun of Boo, or Arthur Radley. There are many rumor about Boo Radley and Jem, Dill, Scout are curious about Boo, they want to see Boo's face so they do many things to make Boo comes out. At first, these games are just normal, Dill dares Jem to touch Boo Radley house, but gradually, what Jem, Dill, Scout do becomes more than a normal game. They play a game call "Boo Radley" by reacting all the rumbles about Boo Radley, and they're doing it in the front yard so everyone can see them. Next, they want to pass a note for Boo, they want Boo to come out. They put the note on a fishing pole and dangle it to the window. In chapter 6, Jem, Dill, and Scout sneak over to the Radley Place and peeking through a loose shutter.
Every time when they doing something with Boo, Scout sees many mysterious things come from Boo Radley house. Scout advised people to stop this, but no one listened. For the first time, when Jem touches the house, Scout see a shutter moving in the house. For the second time, when Scout rolled up the step, she hears someone laughing. The third time is in chapter 6, not just Scout, Dill and Jem also see a shadow moving in Boo's house. Jem and Scout's father, Atticus also says that they can't do it, he want them to stop tormenting Boo.
For me, I think that Jem and Dill are wrong. The "Boo Radley" game is like an act of ridicule Boo, they shouldn't do it. Scout know that there is someone watching them so she already tell Jem and Dill to stop it but they don't listen so she have to go with them. I don't agree with what Jem, Dill, and Scout are doing because they can't make fun of people like that. Boo has his own life and the others can't do anything. People don't know what happened with Boo, they just listen to the rumor and then believe in it. What if Boo is a good person? We don't know, but no matter what, the actions of Jem, Dill, and Scout are wrong.

  1. I really did like your blog post. I especially liked how you told the readers that it started off as a normal game, but gradually got more and more out of hand. I also like how you gave the three times that Scout saw and heard weird things from the house. And Finally, I like how you conclude that Jem, Dill, and Scout are in the wrong.
